2025–2026 School Year Events
At DSJ Dance Studio, performances and events are an important part of a dancer’s learning journey.
Below is an overview of the events DSJ Dance Studio plans to participate in during the 2025–2026 school year.
Please note that some events are open to all students, while others are selected or based on eligibility.
About Selected Performances
A Selected Performance refers to an event where dancers are chosen based on specific criteria such as technique level, performance quality, commitment, attitude, and suitability for the event. Read more about the selection criteria.
Selected dancers and families will be notified by email with detailed information.
Event One
Performance at Chinese New Year Celebration of the Horse Year
This is a signature community performances, celebrating cultural diversity and community engagement.
Event Time: Saturday, Feb 14th /2026 (Estimated performance time: 12:50 PM – 1:10 PM)
Event Location: Calgary Chinese Community Center
Who Can Apply: All dancers enrolled in the DSJ B& C Intensive Program + Grade A all students
Additional Rehearsals & Fees: required for this event.
Event Two
PLEDIS 2026 Audition
A valuable opportunity to gain international audition experience! Read more for audition details.
Event Time: Friday, March 6, 2026, 6:00 PM
Event Location: DSJ Dance Studio
Who Can Apply: DSJ registered students aged 12 years and above
Additional Rehearsals & Fees: not for this event if you are DSJ registered student.
Event Three
International Kids Runway
Selected Performance
Event Time: Sunday Afternoon, March 08 /2026
Event Location: BMO Centre
Who Can Apply: Selected students in Grade C Intensive Program; selected dancers and families will be notified by email.
Additional Rehearsals & Fees: required for this event.
Event Four
Rally Day – Girl Guides of Canada
This is a signature community performances, celebrating cultural diversity and community engagement.
Event Time: Saturday, May 2 /2026
Event Location: Big Four Building, Stampede Grounds
Who Can Apply: TBD

DSJ Dance Studio Annual Recital

All dancers at DSJ Dance Studio are invited
This is DSJ Dance Studio’s most important annual performance event. Please save the date. If your dancer is unable to participate, kindly notify us in advance.
