2026 Recital Stage Styling Guide
Costume Guide
All students need to prepare black short boots to match all costumes.
While we aim for a unified look on stage, we also encourage our street dancers to express their individuality by adding appropriate and shiny accessories to personalize their stage style. Please check your costume preparation requirements based on your grade below:

Grade A Costume Preparation requirements / Styling Tips
1) Studio Preparation: •DSJ Crop Top • Rainbow Skirt + Denim Accessories
2) Personal Preparation (Must-Have): • Short boots • A fitted underlayer (any color)• Blue denim bottoms (any style) • Black fitted shorts or boy shorts for stage security
3) Personal Preparation (Optional):
• Accessories such as bracelets, arm sleeves/cuffs, or leg warmers to add your dancer’s personal style

Style 1: DSJ Top + Rainbow Skirt
Style 1: Black Top + Rainbow Skirt
Style 2: Black Top + Personal Denim Bottoms
Grade B Costume Preparation requirements / Styling Tips
Style 1: Black (main color) & White (accent color)
1) Studio Preparation: DSJ Crop Top + Themed Accessory + Pink Plaid Tie
2) Personal Preparation (Must-Have):

Short boots
-
Any black bottoms (pants, shorts, or skirt), based on your personal style.

A fitted underlayer (any color)

Black fitted shorts or boy shorts
(Required if wearing short pants or a skirt for stage security)
3) Personal Preparation (Optional):

Accessories such as bracelets, arm sleeves/cuffs, or leg warmers to add your dancer’s personal style

Grade C Costume Preparation requirements / Styling Tips
Style 1: Red Top + Blue Jeans
Style 2: Black and Silver Top
1) Studio Preparation: DSJ Tops (Red and Black, Students will DIY/style their own shirt First) + Accessory + Silver Cloth
2) Personal Preparation (Must-Have):

Short boots

Any blue Jeans bottoms (pants, shorts, or skirt), based on your personal style.
