PLEDIS Entertainment is a subsidiary of HYBE, the powerhouse behind globally renowned groups like BTS, NewJeans, and LE SSERAFIM. As a leading label under HYBE, PLEDIS Entertainment manages top K-pop artists such as SEVENTEEN, fromis_9, and TWS.

 

PLEDIS Entertainment has partnered with DSJ Dance Studio to discover emerging talent in Calgary, Canada.

 

DSJ Dance Studio is excited to offer this exclusive audition opportunity for our talented dancers for the second consecutive year. This is a unique chance to take a meaningful step toward the global professional stage.

At DSJ Dance Studio, we view professional auditions as valuable learning experiences, rather than result-driven opportunities.

 

These experiences allow dancers to step into a real, high-standard industry environment, where they learn how to prepare, present themselves, and manage pressure with confidence and professionalism.

 

Participation in any audition does not guarantee selection, and outcomes are influenced by many factors beyond skill alone, including age, concept direction, and company planning at the time.

 

Our role as a studio is to guide and support dancers throughout the process, helping them gain experience, resilience, and a healthy, long-term mindset. We believe that each audition experience becomes a meaningful part of a dancer’s artistic growth, personal development, and life experience — regardless of the final result.

2026 Audition Details

Audition Process

  • Categories: (Choose one, within 1 min):

       - Vocal / Rap: unaccompanied

       - Dance: prepare your own music files

       - Modeling: catwalk, stage walk / 3 poses​​​

  • ​​Date and Time: Friday, March 06 /2026, 6:00PM  

       (standby at 5:00PM)​

​

  • Location: DSJ Dance Studio, Calgary

​

  • Who Can Apply:  

      -DSJ registered students, 12 yrs plus

      - Students who take this opportunity seriously and prepare with commitment

      - Students and families who share  DSJ’s perspective on professional audition experiences

​

  • The audition is free for DSJ registered students.

​

  • First Round (March 06): Online audition with a PLEDIS casting member.

  • Second/ Third Round: If selected, submit more videos based on PLEDIS' requirements.

  • Fourth Round: If you pass, join an online audition with PLEDIS’ casting supervisor.

  • If you pass the final round, you will be offered a trainee contract and receive online training from PLEDIS for a typical period of one to three years in Canada.

  • Based on progress, you may have the opportunity to accept in-person training in Korea. 

  • Stay Positive!
    Not passing is completely normal and part of the process! Keep improving and try again in the future!
